This is Mariah. It’s been a couple of months since we posted last ; they have been busy but g reat ! In regards to our Ashley Grove mission, it has been going well! The children that were at the center to begin with, are now inviting their friends and neighbors. So, now, we have been able to meet more of the community! Our relationships with the kids have been growing strong and our love for them expands everyday! We are so very thankful for this great opportunity for God to move into these beautiful kids.
At the Wherry Children’s Center the kids are on a curriculum. They are in the middle of a Roanoke Jones series! Each day we do something different to get the kids involved in the lesson. It is a mystery series, so the kids enjoy it and get pretty engaged! This also has improved their scripture memorization. Actually, the other day a boy at the center, Taw, recited to me a scripture verse out of the blue, smiled big, and walked away! It was adorable! This is just one example of how God is staining their hearts.
Although we miss the families that have moved on to different places, we have been blessed to welcome a few new kids to the center. We love seeing new kids and are taking steps to reaching out into the community to invite more to the center. We plan on doing some of this by going door-to- door, inviting the families to our upcoming events!

Serve the Lord with gladness:
come before His presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord He is God:
It is He that hat made us, and not we ourselves;
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise;
be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endures to all generations. ~Psalm 100
